Cable shielding. It’s important Quad-shield coaxial cable is extremely important for your signal reception. If you have old air core or poor quality coax, your digital signals can pixelate due to a high bit error rate. Sometimes your signals can be corrupted by electrical spikes and sparks called impulse interference. Thankfully a Quad-shield coax cable can greatly improve the quality of your signal and shield the digital signal from impulse interference.
Masthead Amplifiers Masthead amplifiers are used in areas where the signal is too low for a good quality picture or there are so many tv points that the signal hasn’t enough power for all – the amp boosts the signal and it can be adjusted from there till perfect.
Fittings and Connections F-type compression connectors and F-type wall plates are the final piece of the structure that help minimise signal loss and interference – if all these pieces are in place and installed correctly – you will maximise your TV’s ability to get perfect reception.
We’re accredited in My Switch – a government program We are endorsed by the federal government My Switch accreditation program, which means we meet the criteria of passing the My Switch exam, owning an serial numbered approved digital meter and having $10,000,000 public liability insurance.
If your installer does not have a digital signal meter they cannot fault find – cannot check if the signal is under or overboosted, cannot analyse M.E.R or B.E.R to diagnose issues and rectify them. if they do not have a digital signal meter all they can do is install the antenna and hope that all the settings are correct as they have no way of adjusting the main parameters which lead to perfect picture.
Please – before you allow an antenna technician to start work on your house ask them if they have a digital signal meter and require them upon completion of the job to supply the signal strength, M.E.R and B.E.R for each channel. Same with satellite installs – do they have the correct meter? Can they cross poll or null out the lnb – if they cant – you will have problems when it rains.
